Occultation of Mars by Moon
Occultation is a natural phenomenon of one heavenly object hides another one from our view when earth and these objects happen to be in a straight line. Most visible and feared occultation is the solar eclipse wherein sun is hidden from our view by the passing moon.  Lunar eclipse is not exactly occultation, but earth’s shadow falling on moon there... more...

Earth Day
It is apprehended that China has overtaken US as the no-1 CO2 emitter of the world. The term apprehended is used because we really don’t have any mechanism to measure CO2 of China and whatever we have is on the basis of Fossil fuel consumption. ( For example if the coal has 28 % fixed carbon, for every Kg of fuel you have 0.28 Kg of carbon which co... more...

My Father
I was away from iland for sometime now because of the death of my father- who passed away in the night of 12-13 March. As I mentioned before, he was detected with aneurysm- bulging of brain arteries at two points. Doctors advised not to undergo surgery or coiling (the methods of treatment) because of his age( he was 74.) But then I never knew the e... more...

Chak de India
So after 23 years, a Onedayful victory down under, that too by a team of rookies. One bright sunny day won’t make a summer- but taking the Australian tour in totality, it was a splendid summer- except for a brief cloudy stretch at Sydney. Everybody questioned the rationale behind sending novices in place of experienced greats for the one day series... more...

Space travel for the intelligent being
Since becoming aware of the enormity of the universe, Man has always been dreaming of a voyage to the unexplored. Absurdity and Irrationality of ‘The Lady...
Recently an amusing  news hit the headlines of  newspapers and channels: and some of our vernacular channels just ran hours and hours of show of the significance of the news.
